Jamie Lynn Spears delivery room drama revealed
Jamie Lynn Spears Delivery Room Drama Revealed
.fullpost{display:inline;}
Jamie Lynn Spears' new daughter, Maddie Briann, was reportedly born during some chaos in the delivery room. Star magazine reveals details about Jamie Lynn's life threatening decision, emergency surgery to save her baby, her big sis Britney Spears' jealousy, Mama Lynne Spears fighting, and the mess over a paternity test. Wow! That's a lot to deal with for anyone, especially a 17-year-old.
A family insider revealed:
"The baby's heart rate dropped every time she tried to push. They did an ultrasound and quickly discovered that the umbilical cord was too short."
Although the doctors' warned Jamie Lynn, she insisted on having a natural childbirth.
The insider also alleges that Brit was trying to be the supportive sister by staying with her for many hours and massaging her back, but she was stressed by the situation.
"But she [Britney] got mad. She told Jamie Lynn to "just have a damn Cesarean. Britney then ran out in tears because she couldn't bear to see what was happening."
Lynne didn't help by insisting on being present. The source said: "Lynne was already angry because her daughter didn't want her in the delivery room at all. But she had insisted on being there, along with Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn's boyfriend. Jamie Lynn cussed and yelled at her mom, and told her to get out. She cursed Lynne for bringing her into the world to bear such pain." Sounds like quite the party at the hospital! I guess the important thing is that Jamie Lynn and lil Maddie are healthy. I wish her the best.

Oh geez.... Some things just need to stay PRIVATE. This is one of them! She was having a baby - cut her some slack. Now Casey... what a stupid thing to say. You blame the mom because your girlfriend is having a baby. I didn't realize her mom got her pregnant.
DNA will reveal the daddy is the Nickelodeon producer - I'm sure of it

I call B.S. on this article. It's normal for the heart rate to drop when you push. The umbilical cord was too short??? Too short for what? Even if it did matter they would have known about it long ago at previous ultrasounds.

This article is stupid from start to finish. As IheartParis has already stated, the medical details don't make sense. In addition, at the top of the article it says Britney was jealous and then say nothing to support that assertion.
Stupid.

I also call bullshit on "they quickly discovered that the umbilical cord was too short".
But would have loved to be in that delivery room. I'd have served them all highballs. Doubles.

I've never heard of an umbilical chord that was too short but the heart rate dropping with pushing can be an issue. It happened with my daughter and they also planned an emergent Csection. Her heart rate came back up when I changed positions though so I got out of it.

Why Jamie Lynn Spears Will Get F’d in the A by the Tabloid Press

You know what you get when you’re a celebrity and you sign an exclusive deal with a tabloid? Bad karma from the rest of the magazines.
Jamie Lynn Spears, who signed a $1 million exclusive deal with OK! for her pregnancy story and pics, is getting stabbed by Star with a dramatic cover story exclaiming, “Delivery Room Drama!” Since Spears is prohibited from playing ball with the other celeb weeklies, there’s only one thing Star can do: deliver one piece of bad news after another. If only Spears hadn’t signed with OK!, she could’ve scored some protection.
According to the Star, docs wanted a C-section, but Spears wanted a natural pregnancy, but when she began pushing the baby’s heart rate kept dropping. And! The umbilical cord was too short and was wrapped around baby Maddie Briann’s neck, forcing docs to snip the cord while the baby was still inside her mother. Ew! And then new dad Casey Aldridge fainted! Add to add to the drama? Lynn Spears, Maddie’s grandma, wants a DNA test right away because she doesn’t believe Aldridge is the father.
After reading all this, think how this story could have been spun: New mother Jamie Lynn and baby Maddie Briann are resting comfortably after a problem-free delivery. Family and friends were at the hospital to wish the new mother well, and glowing grandma Lynn Spears was seen hugging new father Casey.
