Michael Caine has claimed that he was once suspected of being a terrorist.
The veteran actor, 75, revealed that when he was boarding a plane in Texas under his real name Maurice Micklewhite, the airport staff were wary of his behaviour.
He told
GQ: "The guard said 'You've no luggage. You're a foreigner. You're in first class. And you're last to board. That is the profile of the 9/11 fliers'."
Caine appears as Alfred Pennyworth in
The Dark Knight next month. The
Batman Begins sequel opens in the UK on July 25.
