Usher Didn't Fire His Mother, He Let Her Retire

Don't get the wrong idea about Usher because he has denied claims that he fired his mother Jonetta Patton as his manager before he married Tameka Foster last year. Reports suggested that he fired his mother because his mother and Tameka didn't get along, however, he told Vibe magazine that he just let her retire. He said:

“I decided to not fire, not get rid of, but to give [my mother] the ultimate compliment - to retire her to be a full-time grandmother. My mother and I decided to change her situation, together. There was a conversation. I didn’t write her a letter or pink slip her.”
How thoughtful of him! I wonder if his mother was grateful for this change.
