Papa Joe Simpson is reportedly defending himself against suggestions that he meddles into his daughters' relationships. Media reports have continually covered how involved Papa Joe gets with regards to Jessica Simpson's and Ashlee Simpson's personal lives.

As mentioned before, reports claimed that Tony Romo gave Jessica an ultimatum because Papa Joe was interfering. It's believed that he suggested they get engaged and said:

“I can do the same [sell it] that I did with Ashlee,”

as well as try to become the Dallas Cowboys quarterback media manager.

Yikes!

However, Papa Joe said in his defense:

“It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?”

Aw, poor guy - all he's doing is trying to make a buck off his kids. What's wrong with that? And since he believes his kids are hot (especially Jessica), why not?
