Nicole Kidman to pose for nude photos

Nicole Kidman is to have professional photographs taken of her pregnant body, reports claim.

The actress will pose naked for renowned snapper Patrick Demarchelier ahead of the birth of her first child with husband Keith Urban.

A source told the New York Daily News that Kidman is keen for the pictures to be taken when the baby is almost due, saying: "Nicole wants to wait until she looks really pregnant.”

The 40-year-old already has adopted children Isabella and Connor from her marriage to Tom Cruise.

Demi Moore, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears have also posed nude while pregnant.

If I ever get up the duff I'll want some pics taken. Maybe not fully nude but just to look at and think, wow, look at that, I was pregnant!

It's a temporary thing (unless you're that Duggan woman) and I think I would forget what it looked/felt like.

Why not do it? I think pregnancy is beautiful. The photo celebrates that beauty as well as celebrating a mother's pride and the connection with the baby she's carrying.

My Sister had a beautiful set of photos taken while heavily pregnant and I was surprised at how good they were. In fact they were just very beautiful and natural. A nice keepsake for her, I think.

It's like trying to turn piss into lemonade. You're pregnant, gotta deal with it, so try to make it be something it isn't just so it doesn't seem like such a burden. I know some women have easy pregnancies and some like being pregnant for the attention. Honestly, though, it just ain't pretty to look at no matter how hard people try to dress it up as some sort of woman power thing. The boobs and nipples get ugly, feet swell, many women get those unsightly veins allover their legs (that don't go away), some get that pregnancy mask on their faces.....it may be a necessary part of giving life but that doesn't make it pretty to look at. Everyone has their own opinion on what is attractive,t hough. But to me, just because something has a good purpose doesn't mean it has to be pleasant.

My best friend is pregnant and happy about it but at least is honest that she doesn't like what's happening to her thighs and ass in the process. She likes the bigger boobs but hates the way her nips are looking.

I think pregnancy is a part of life, and, in a way, beautiful, but it's not BEAUTIFUL and it's not SEXY. Also, I think we're all pretty clear on what a pregnant woman looks like.
