Moviehole says it has confirmed that Tom Cruise is in talks to star in director Phillip Noyce's thriller 28th Amendment.
Written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the story centers on U.S. president Ben Cahill (Cruise) who discovers that a secret committee (run by Denzel Washington) has controlled the U.S. government since WWII.
This hidden power structure assassinates potential troublemakers to serve its own needs, and having made the discovery, the president now finds himself in the firing line.

The only movie of his that Id bother seeing, is if he made one about how a very small guy buys his way into a cult and tries to pull the wool over peoples eyes by letting them think he is a hetereosexual tough guy with a real wife and kid.And then he gets discovered in a compromising situation with a couple of famous dudes called Will Smith and John Travolta. Menage a trois anyone? Id like to see the ending of that one.

Why do these movie execs continue to give him chances? He's used up. Lions for Lambs bombed terribly, Valkyrie keeps being delayed because of problems (and they know it will bomb). I will be so disappointed if this happens. What kind of shit does he have on everyone that they all seem to bend over and take it while simultaneously kissing his midget ass? Its so weird.
