Joshua Jackson has admitted that he has failed to hit the big time since appearing on Dawson's Creek.
The actor, who played Pacey Witter, said he was happy to stick to low-key movie roles when the teen series ended in 2003.
He told the Press Association: "I didn't make popular films, which was a decision, sort of. There were some popular films which I would have loved to have done but I didn't get those jobs. After the show was finished, I wanted to make smaller movies to make myself better as an actor."
Jackson was screen tested for the lead role in 2005's Batman Begins and recently said he would love to play Spider-Man if Tobey Maguire ever stepped down.
He added: "I'm not Tom Hanks or Leonardo DiCaprio, I can't create movies on that scale, so I have to do it on a smaller scale. But you get to work with great people on great material and hopefully with great directors. And every once in a while, do a more commercial film which everyone wants to go and see."
The 29-year-old is currently starring in horror movie Shutter, which opens in the UK this week. He will also appear in J.J. Abrams's new sci-fi series Fringe.

I like this guy. He's not pushy and he seems pretty normal by Hollyweird standards.

He hasn't made it big, it's true. Because I have no idea who the hell he is.
I am the 'big' factor. Me.

Yeahhhhhh....I guess not getting picked to do popular films could be described as "a decision" right? Just not his decision? But still a decision nonetheless, right?
