Archuleta's Dad Gives Producer Cold Shoulder

Jeff Archuleta, David's dad, showed up in the audience for tonight's "American idol" and made it clear -- he's pissed at the producers.

As we first reported, Jeff was such a troublemaker, he was banned from backstage rehearsals. According to our spies, on tonight's show during commercials, Jeff shot darts at Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe. J.A. stared Nigel down and was enraged as he watched the E.P. visibly excited as David Cook performed.

Jeff seemed chummy with Randy. The two bro'd out during several breaks. He hugged Paula two times and whispered something in her ear and she nodded in agreement. No interaction at all with Simon.

Jeff was trying to get the attention of legendary songwriter Diane Warren, but she pretty much wouldn't give him the time of day.

The Dad from hell! I wonder if it occurs to him that in a year (when he turns 18) his son can leave & never look back.

Fuck him.That explains why Randy kissed Archuleta's butt even though he was awkward and horrible.It's obvious Simon favors Cook and doesn't buy into Archuleta and producer's fix.

I think Archuleta's dad and producers are faking this banning crap because everyone else was complaining.

Oh for the love...... My boo? He sang My boo? The only pasty white guy that could get by with that might be Justin Timberlake. I'm with Randy, bad song choice.

I almost voted last night. I honestly loved David C's Roberta Flack song. I may Itune it.

Last night was the first time David A fell from grace. He's a cutie and he's going to get a contract anyway..... however David C is growing on me and I'm hoping he wins and David A's Daddy Dearest looses.

I think that at the beginning of the show, they already had some sort of arrangement and were planning to hand this season's title to Archuleta.

However, as his dad has become increasingly more demanding and more difficult to deal with, they've significantly reduced the pimpage.

I really think that Jeff has lost this thing for David with his bad attitude and his bullying. No one wants to work with David anymore because as talented and moldable as he is, he's a minor, and they know that if they get him they get his dad in there, too... strong-arming them and pushing people around.

Cook is my 2nd favorite, but I have to admit he was awful last night. And people think David A. is pimped to death!

What kind of pull does this guy (Jeff ) think he has. It's not like he's anybody any more special than anyone else. Why would he think he's runnin' the show and can overrule producers decisions. What a tool.
