Kelly Preston credits her "normal" family life for the success of her marriage to John Travolta.
The couple tied the knot 17 years ago and have 16-year-old son Jett and daughter Ella, eight.
The actress told US TV show Extra that the family lives a fairly ordinary life outside the Hollywood spotlight.
She said: "We don't really live in LA - we live in Florida. We've got our kids, do a lot of very normal things... ride golf carts, swim, rollerblade. We try to keep the family together as much as humanly possible."
She also insisted that she is not concerned about the film industry's effect on Ella, who stars with her parents in upcoming movie Old Dogs.
She said: "It's all about choices, about instilling values. We don't do drugs. I don't drink, so she's not around a lot of that, so I don't think she'll be as tempted to fall into that."

I find it strange that she didnt mention Jett in that quote.. just seems like a quote which would/should apply to both children not just Ella.

^^ Jett isn't in the movie so why would she mention him?
I will say to both of their credits that they do keep a private family life and seem to be very good parents.

Their son is rumoured to be autistic and they won't get help for him because their fucked up cult doesn't believe in it. That doesn't sound like good parenting to me.

You have to give them credit in Hollyweird for a 17 year marriage, through the peaks and troughs of success etc. * waxes philosophical *
But at the same time I thought it was funny that she said " I don't drink!"

Travolta did an interview a while back where he admitted that he doesn't wake up for the day until 5pm. Not hard to tolerate someone for so long when you are hardly around them.
