Tarka was the son of the late millionaire music producer Denny Cordell, who produced records for The Cranberries and The Moody Blues.

Denny produced Procol Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale and worked with Joe Cocker and Tom Petty for his Shelter Records label.
Tarka was born in Argentina and moved to the United Kingdom at a young age. He and his older brother Barney were educated at Harrow School.
He began his career as a Hollywood screenwriter but later launched his own music career with the record Bimbo in a Limo, released with the help of Barney.
It was at this time he dated Kate Moss while she was on the rebound from actor Johnny Depp.
He was also romantically linked to actress Liv Tyler. Barney confirmed his troubled sibling had committed suicide after returning from a trip to India.

I don't think Sienna's outfit is suited for a funeral. Both Kate and Lily look much more appropriate for such an occasion IMO.

I didn't realise Sienna was so skinny. That's what drugs will do I guess.

i've never been a believer in 'appropriate funeral attire'. my dad loved this pink dress that i had, it was gawdawful bright pink, but he loved it. so when he passed away, i wore it to his funeral. i didnt care. the dead isnt there anyway, i say wear what makes you feel good on a crappy day.

Sienna looks awful here--and yes, inappropriate. And it's not "grief" awful, it's just stupid awful. And rather androgynous.

No, the dead person doesn't care but the relatives might. To me it's mostly about respect for them. I think she looks like she's going to a concert or a fashion show - if I was a grieving relative I think I'd look twice and that's not really something you need on a day like that IMO.

For my aunt's funeral on Wednesday I wore a red summer dress with flowers on it. I was going to go for black, but on the advice of my mother I went for a more--cheerful--colour.
I was glad I did, there were not many people dressed in black. My aunt was not the type to want a bunch of depressed looking ravens hanging about at her wake!

The cultural differences are killing me, no offence. If anyone showed up in red in a funeral here it would mean that they didn't like the deceased. There's even a threat "I'll wear red to your funeral", mostly to husbands who have driven women nuts.

I don't mean to imply anything to people who have worn other colours in funerals. It's best to do what you feel. It's an utterly crappy day, no need to make it even more depressing. As funeral fashion goes, I approve only of Lily Allen though I don't much care for her silly hat and it depends on the length of the dress. Kate Moss is nice and simple but would have preferred something that doesn't leave so much exposed and Sienna Miller is a joke. Completely inappropriate. Also, wtf? Does she ever eat?
