Liv Tyler and her husband, British rocker Royston Langdon, have decided to separate, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time."
Tyler, 30, and Langdon, 36, wed in 2003 in a private ceremony at a villa in the Caribbean. Their son Milo was born in December 2004.

I'm sad, I adore Liv. I don't know much about her husband, but 5 years is a good run if you're a Hollywood type.

I think she is the answer to Lainey's BI about the gal who took an extended holiday w/her family to detox. If so, then I presume the divorce has to do with her substance abuse issues? Bummer. I like her.
According to Lainey's post today "The two spent a very long holiday together this past Christmas with their son Milo after which she emerged much healthier looking than before she left."

Liv seems nice (in interviews) and such but I guess her husband is a real sweetie

it's shame. i thought she learned something from her own father's experiences, but she hasn't, apparently.
