Katie Price plans to emigrate to LA for the sake of disabled son

After several visits to LA in recent months, Katie Price is considering moving to Los Angeles permanently for the sake of her disabled son Harvey.

The glamour model is seeking out better treatment for her five-year-old, who suffers from impaired sight, autism and has a hormone deficiency which means he already weighs eight stone.

Katie, 29, along with husband Peter Andre, 35, and their other two children Junior, 2, and 10-month-old Princess Tiáamii, could make the move as early as September.

She told LA-based celebrity blogger Perez Hilton: "We're coming back to Los Angeles in June with the whole family and we're going to be looking for schools for Harvey.

"We're also going to be looking for specialists doctors who will be able to look after him."

"I love it in LA. I live the sunshine and the lifestyle."

The family first toyed with the prospect of relocating to LA two years ago, but their multiple trips for Katie's cosmetic surgery procedures have prompted them to revisit the idea.

Of course, she would be following in the footsteps of her sometime nemesis Victoria Beckham, who moved to the US with her family last year.
Katie said: "There's no bad blood between me and Posh - we get along now. We're not friends with the Beckhams but we're not enemies either."

For what it is worth Cali really does have good programs for children with autism. I know the founder of the CDCH school in NY and she after almost 15 years raising money, putting the school together and getting married, she picked up and moved across the county to put her son into a program on the West Coast beause she couldn't find a better one here in NY.

I don't care for her but she is doing the right thing for her child.

That poor kid (son of UK soccer player Dwight Yorke) is quite severely damaged and has a whole raft of problems. Perhaps if his mother hadn't spent the entire pregnancy off her face on booze and drugs then at least some of those problems wouldn't exist.

And yeah. LA is such a great place for kids to be. Mommy will be out all night partying.

^ITA with you and A*O. She isn't helping matters at all with the way she's choosing to raise him. I suspect she has ulterior motives for moving to L.A., but is putting the spin on her move so that *hopefully* people will like her.
