David and Victoria Beckham lift the lid on their friendship with superstar Tom Cruise - and the truth is stranger than fiction.
Paying tribute to their celebrity friend, the couple revealed to chat show host Oprah Winfrey how they once did the conga through a Spanish restaurant - with Tom and wife Katie Holmes.
The Beckhams said they had grown close to the Hollywood couple since moving to Los Angeles.

Conga time: The Beckhams appeared in an interview on Oprah and revealed that they once enjoyed a riotous night out with the Cruises, which ended with a conga dance

And as Cruise celebrated 25 years in the movie business on Oprah Winfrey's chat show, Victoria revealed how on a night out they ended up dancing through a posh Madrid eatery.
Victora said: "When Tom and Katie both came to Madrid to watch David when he won the [football] championship, that night we all went to a Spanish restaurant and we were having fun and Tom started serenading Katie, and he was singing You've Lost That Loving Feeling which of course he sang in Top Gun, then we all conga-ed around the Spanish restaurant.
"They really know how to have a laugh. And you [David], conga-ed so well."
And it seems that the Beckhams association with Cruise started well before they moved to Los Angeles.
Victoria also revealed that David took her to see Tom Cruise-starring comedy Jerry Maguire when they started going out.

Veteran: Tom appeared on Oprah in the second part of a special celebrating his 25 years in showbusiness
She said: "One of our first dates, we went to the movies to see Jerry Maguire, and I wore glasses.
"It was first time David actually kissed me, and he completely steamed up my glasses."
David joked: "I actually think it was Tom that steamed up your glasses."
She said: "Well it was, but I don't say that."
Victoria continued: "When we got to know Tom, we told him the story of how it was one of our first dates, and he sent us the jacket that he wore in one of the scenes, and he signed it.
"And David hasn't taken it off since. I make him wear it," she laughed.
Victoria also said Maverick from Top Gun was her favourite Cruise role.

She added: "I liked Maverick. It was the aviator glasses and the jacket."
David said: "I'll have to get myself some of those."
He, meanwhile said The Last Samurai was the Cruise movie he liked the most.
David said: "The Last Samurai was one of my most favourite [sic] films, and when he spoke to me about how he trained for that a year before, you can see that in the films - and that's why he is the best."
She said: "Thank you for being there for us." "You're an inspiration not just to many people around the world but to me. Thank you for being a great friend. Congratulations, you deserve it."

The Beckhams were among several co-star celebrities who recorded special tributes to the Mission: Impossible actor.
Renee Zellweger, who starred with him in Jerry Maguire, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jamie Foxx, who appeared with Cruise in Collateral, all appeared on the Oprah show in pre-taped segments.
It was the second of two interviews Winfrey did with Cruise.
The actor's breakthrough role came 25 years ago in 1983's Risky Business featuring the iconic scene of him dancing in his underwear.
As he watched the scene again he said: "I kept falling.
"So I thought, 'Well, I'm going to put on my socks.' I got on the floor. I literally waxed the floor on my hands and knees to get it prepped."
And asked by Oprah if he would now have any advice for his then-19-year-old self, he replied: "I would have said, 'You know what? It's going to be okay.'
"I was always trying to enjoy every moment that I could because I thought, 'If this is the last film I get to make, then at least I lived that dream.'"
"I had no idea that I'd be here 25 years later doing this." The first half of her interview with Cruise at the actor's Telluride, Colorado, home aired on Friday.
