Singer Mick Hucknall shows off his baby girl (and her ginger locks)

Pop singer Mick Hucknall proudly showed off his baby girl during a family trip to Paris over the weekend, and yes, her hair is simply red.

The 47-year-old star appeared to revel in his role as a doting dad, carrying his daughter Romy around on his shoulders and showering her with affection during an afternoon outing.

He was also joined by his partner Gabriella Wesberry, who gave birth in July.

Hucknall has said that starting a family was a natural progression after reviving his relationship with Miss Wesberry four years ago.

He first began dating her in 1995 but they split before his band embarked on an 18-month tour. They were reintroduced by a mutual friend in 2003 and have been together since then.

Before and after their relationship, the unlikely lothario racked up a long list of conquests during his time, including Martine McCutcheon, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Helena Christensen.

Miss Wesberry, who is in her 30s and speaks six languages, is a director of Hucknall's wine company Il Cantante.

Hucknall said: "I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. I wake up every morning and think that this is just great."
He intends to put off touring until 2009 so that he could have time to bond with his daughter.
