BALTIMORE -- President George W. Bush's daughter, Jenna, and her fiancé, Henry Hager, are busy planning their wedding, and apparently their plan after that includes Baltimore.
WBAL TV 11 News has learned that Hager has accepted a job at Constellation Energy. Sources told 11 News that Hager will start work in the next month or two downtown for the company's "competitive energy business."
The White House press office won't confirm there is a wedding, nor will they comment on the couple's interest in Baltimore, even though the president has openly talked about the upcoming nuptials.
Jenna Bush and Hager will move to Baltimore after their wedding next month.
"That's great," former Gov. Robert Ehrlich said when 11 News reporter Kate Amara told him about it. "We could always use two more residents here in Maryland."The news first broke in a Washington Post column on the Internet. The Post and People Magazine have both reported that the soon-to-be newlyweds have been house hunting in Baltimore.Baltimore city police said that they haven't heard anything about a member of the first family moving in, and neither has City Hall, Amara reported.City school officials said that the Bush twin has not been hired to teach in the city, as she was in Washington, D.C.Sources told Amara that Hager is being treated like any other hire at the energy company. He'll come on board after earning his MBA from the University of Virginia this spring.
