Default Madonna wants to do Casablanca remake?

    This Needs To Happen!

The Daily Mail claims Madonna has approached a major Hollywood studio about remaking "Casablanca" with her as the star! Its get better. According to these sources, Madonna wants to set the remake in Iraq. YES! Dear studio heads, make this happen!
A source said, "Madonna talking about taking the Ingrid Bergman role for herself, even though Bergman was in her 20s when she played Ilsa and Madonna is nearly 50. She wants to update the story and maybe set it in a modern war zone such as Iraq. There is no script yet."

The source went on to say that Madonna's people are merely testing the waters and so far nobody is really interested. I'm interested! We haven't had an amazing flop in a long ass time and this would be epic. Justin Timberlake can co-star and Lindsay Lohan has to be in it. It isn't a flop without La Lahome. The tagline can read, "Not since Showgirls......"

The story is probably a bunch of bullcaca, but I believe that it's crossed Madonna's mind. The woman thinks she can do anything! I'm sure she has thoughts of remaking the Sistine Chapel, because she knows she can do a better job.

This would be disastrous if true.

Madonna needs to go away, now... before she ruins anything else.

We all have limitations. Acting is hers. Surely, she can find other ways of creative expression (other than music of course) and spare the world another dreadful performance. Though to be fair, she was decent in Evita but that was more singing than acting.

On the one hand, the idea is horrifying. On the other hand, it is always fun to watch Madonna be humiliated and ridiculed. I'm still leaning towards NO, THIS MUST NEVER HAPPEN, though.

Anytime Madonna thinks about 'acting' she should remember two words: Shanghai Surprise.

NO that abysmal abortion of film making she did with her hubby. It makes Glitter look like a piece of art.
And what is the point of remaking Casablanca - thats set in Morocco not in Iraq.

Default That dame is one tough cookie!

You might be surprised. She'd be ideal for the role of Rick!

She really is as tough and cynical as Humphrey Bogart pretended to be.

Thes Hollywood assholes should stick to original material when possible, and if not, remake films that were good on paper but had a terrible execution.
Leave the classics alone. If it ain't broke, don't try to "fix" it, you narcissistic maniac.

This is even worse news than when I heard they were going to remake The Birds.

I have never seen Shanghi Surprise, I gave up after falling asleep 3 times. She needs to face the facts, she can't act.

I can't believe that after all the atrocious & epic failures that she has had acting-wise that she would continue to insist on trying again.

Even if she was moderately good, she will still be heralded as a failure!

Just one more thing she'll ruin. I hope someone stops her before she butchers a classic.
