Renée Zellweger was so overwhelmed by her starring role in Jerry Maguire that she often sneaked away to cry.
The actress got her big break playing Tom Cruise's love interest Dorothy Boyd in the hit 1996 movie but her emotions got the better of her on the shoot.
She is quoted as saying: "I just remember crying behind a bunch of fake bushes on the set when nobody could see me. I remember it well."
Zellweger was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award for her performance, while co-star Cuba Gooding Jr picked up an Oscar.
