Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson blames childhood for drug addiction
Fergie blames childhood for drug addiction

Black Eyed Peas's Fergie has revealed working as a child actor contributed to her drug habit.
Speaking to Marie Claire, the popstar said: "I was a child actor. I was this spaz kid diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and I worked all the time.
"I got on a TV series, Kids Incorporated; I was like a little adult. And years later, because I would try to people-please, I would hold all these feelings in."
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Stacey Ann Ferguson, said she became addicted to crystal meth: "Then all of a sudden, I just didn't feel creative. And crystal meth came into my life.
"When I had that first hit, I knew I wanted to feel that way every day. I went on a downward spiral. I lost friends and family. Anyone who disagreed with my way of life, I cut them out."
The 'Big Girls Don't Cry' singer recently admitted that she became paranoid and believed in conspiracy theories during her addiction.

Blame who or what you want, but the truth is, a druggie chooses to use, knowing the possible outcome. No one forced that meth, or drug of choice, into your body.
Many people have hard childhoods and don't turn to the needle or the pipe.
People like Fergie should just woman up and say they were junkies because they liked getting high! Blaming childhoods, parents, teachers, etc for every hit is a cop out. Blame the real culprit, the addict.

I blame all my past transgressions on accidentally watching "Kids, Incorporated" back in the day.

True that. Never discount it. But I sure hope not for her sake.

I used to watch Kids, Incorporated every day, I must admit.
Remember when they'd do their "serious" musical scenes by the chained fence in the empty parking-lot area with the dim-lighting?

That song is about drugs too. I'm sort of ashamed to say the song is on my MP3 player.
"It wasn't my intention to mislead you
It never should have been this way
What can I say
It's true, I did extend the invitation
I never knew how long you'd stay
When you hear temptation call
It's your heart that takes, takes the fall
(Won't you come out and play with me)
(Chorus)
Step by step
Heart to heart
Left, right, left
We all fall down
Like toy soldiers
Bit by bit
Torn apart
We never win
But the battle wages on
For Toy soldiers
It's getting hard to wake up in the morning
My head is spinning constantly
How can it be?
How could I be so blind to this addiction?
If I don't stop, the next one's gonna be me
Only emptiness remains
It replaces all, all the pain
(Won't you come out and play with me)"
