Cruise, Holmes argue over Suri birthday plans
Saturday, March 15 2008, 12:16 GMT
By Simon Reynolds, Entertainment Reporter

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are reportedly in dispute over how to celebrate daughter Suri's second birthday, according to the National Enquirer.
Cruise is allegedly planning to spend $500,000 on a lavish birthday party but Holmes believes it may be too extravagant.
"Tom is out to make Suri’s second birthday a spectacle like no other child has ever had," a source is quoted as saying.
The insider added: "Katie believes wholeheartedly it would set a bad example. She doesn’t want her daughter to be a spoiled Beverly Hills rich kid who expects the biggest and the best for the rest of her life... She’s all for a nice party, but nothing ostentatious."
US reports claim Cruise wants to bring in an international cuisine, with a $60,000 cake, and acrobats from Cirque de Soleil costing $100,000.

Well Katie is right on this one but I guarantee Her Master will have His Way on this. That shit is ridiculous, even if you do have more money than Xenu.

Of course she's right, but since when did her opinion matter? It's not Suri's 2nd birthday anyway. She's closer to 3.......

I wonder if he had $500,000 birthday parties for his other two kids. I don't believe that she's any more related to him than Connor and Isabella, and I think it's disgusting to see the blatant favoritism he shows her just because she's the one they chose to pretend is his "biological" kid.

Despite her weirdness, she's a good mother, and I hope she gets her way.

if she was a good mother, she wouldnt be involved with this nutjob in the first place.
She's a bad movie for involving a child in a cult.

^There are much nuttier people in the world than Tom Cruise. I agree that she shouldn't be with him, but that doesn't make her a bad mother.
And you're right that Suri shouldn't be raised a scientologist. But even though I disagree with all religion, I wouldn't call someone a bad mother for choosing to raise their child(ren) in one.

Yeah, 2yo's are all about international cuisine.
This party sounds like it's more for 'daddy'. Poor TinyTom ... you know what they say about overcompensating.

someone is a bad mother for involving their child with a dangerous cult for personal selfishness.

^You're right, but the problem is, that it's all a matter of perception. Even though you and I know co$ if a filthy cult, someone who doesn't believe it is will have blinders on. Unfortunately, it's protected in the Consitution, so she would only be judged by those who are independent thinkers. I said she's a good mother because it seems to me that she's (hopefully) going to do everything she can not to raise her daughter to be a little Paris Hilton.

$300 dollars a mouthful or is that each chew? I bet it tastes like Toms dick. Now why did I go and say that. That was dumb.
