Madonna Has Panic Attacks During Concerts

Pop superstar Madonna suffers from severe anxiety attacks onstage - and fears she may one day die during a concert. The Material Girl - who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in New York on Monday night - suffers from crippling pre-gig nerves and takes extreme action to reduced the attacks.
She says, "I have moments where I feel incredibly invincible and know that I have the audience in my hand - I know that everything is absolutely perfect.
"And then I have panic attacks where I feel like everyone is breathing my air and I cannot live up to everybody's expectations and I might just die on stage.
"I normally try to turn my back to the audience, take a deep breath and remind myself that it's all temporary. I'm not worried about f#$king up - I really have a panic attack that everyone else is breathing my air. It's hard to describe.
"When you have panic attacks you cannot rationalize them. Obviously there's enough oxygen for me but it never happens outdoors, it's normally in indoor sports arenas that feel very close when suddenly I feel claustrophobic.
"It's not a fear of performing."

    Whatever.

feels like people are 'breathing her air' ladies and gents, I think this may be the answer to our "don't look, don't breathe" blind!

Then she shuts off the air conditioning, simulates masturbation and orgasm to get over her panic.

    Meh- cry me a river.

    I don't believe her.

She's being a glib, she doesn't know the history of anxiety.

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

You wanted to 'Rule the World' per your comments on American Bandstand back in the day. Deal with it.

during a panic attack a deep breath doesn't help. I have had 3 anxiety attacks (all brought on by diet pills >.< needless to say I can't take diet pills any more.)
During them I was utterly forzen and convinced I was dying and had heart attack like chest pains. i just cried and thought that I was dying.

Maybe she just has little panic attacks??

Definitely the answer to the Blind Item.

I'd have a panic attack if I had to pay good money to see a Madonna concert.

I have them while driving, mostly. Mine are inherited, Moms family tree.
Nicole Kidman and Kim Bassinger have them also...
Madge has them when she looks in the mirror and notices she's getting older and can't bed the young studs like she used to.
