Billy Ray Cyrus: I Didn't Delete Lindsay Lohan's Number from Miley's Phone

Billy Ray Cyrus is denying rumors that he deleted Lindsay Lohan's phone number from daughter Miley Cyrus's cell phone.

On Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday morning, the Idol host brought up reports claiming that the two young stars met Grammy weekend and traded numbers, but that Billy Ray went through Miley's phone and erased Lindsay's digits.

Billy Ray's response: Not true. "We love Lindsay," he said.

Cyrus, 46, emphasized that he wants his kids to think of him as a "best friend." "I wanna be the person [Miley] wants to talk to," he told Seacrest. Fifteen-year-old Miley has a lot of friends, and "I just want to be one of those friends."

When Seacrest asked Billy Ray for words of wisdom on how to keep a teen star from running into trouble, the former "Achy Breaky" country star said it's all about "having a good heart and loving people and knowing that you're here for a reason."

Issue #1: Miley is headed for trouble if her parents want to "be her best friend" instead, of a real disciplining parent--which kids need all the more in danger-filled Hollywood. For an example of seeing how it works out when a parent acts like a friend instead of a parent, see the ultimate example: Lindsay Blohan (gee, what a coinkydink!).

Issue #2: What is it in Hollywood with people hanging out with people MUCH younger than them??!!!?? Why the fuck would Blohan, who's gonna be 22 in a few months, want to hang out with a girl who just turned 15????? And i see that alot.... Like Samantha Ronson & Blohan hanging out--Samantha Ronson is in her 30s! (well, either 30 or 31 to be exact, i think). And Parisite & Blohan and other much younger people hanging out. I'm 29 and i don't (and can't see myself) hanging out with 23-year-olds. Just something i've always noticed about the Hollywood crowd & wondered about.
