Jane Fonda was on " Today" this morning to talk about the Vagina Monologues. Jane talked about how she was asked to do the show and said, " I was asked to do a monologue called CUNT." Nobody seemed to bat an eye! Meredith sort of giggled. I guess cunt is a common word on the Today set. Oh, how I love old ladies saying cunt. It's almost as good as old ladies saying felch.

Haha. She is probably so used to saying it that it comes out naturally.

If you consider the context, this didn't sound all that shocking. It will be interesting to see if the FCC takes action.
Sienna Miller said "fucking hell" on the Today show a year or so ago as they were going to commercial. I never heard any scuttlebutt over that incident.

I doubt the people up that time of the morning watching are really that concerned. I watch the first 30 minutes while getting ready for work, and I'm half way paying attention at best.

I know Peter Fonda was very liberal about swearing, as his daughter Bridget once said "he taught us they were just words like any others." Perhaps he and Jane both learned that from their parents? If so, Jane'd be a great pick for the Vagina Monologues, as someone unashamed of language of any kind.

Ahh..I highly doubt that Henry Fonda would have allowed swearing in his household. He was extremely conservative.

I LOVE that word, I say it all the time when little ears aren't around. I even add other words to it.

I completely loathe that word, when men use it it tells me what they really think about women
