After a crash-course in the preparation of Easter cookies, she was put to work with a biscuit-cutter and produced a fine batch from pre-prepared dough.
Supervisor Kay Ralph said: "She was very good - we're worried she could be after our jobs."
Sarah Tudgay, from Trowbridge, who makes shortbread mix at the bakery, said: "I took her through what I did for my job.
"She was very nice and polite.
"I saw her preparing the biscuits, she was very good. Perhaps she could come and work for us."
Eighty miles away, Prince Charles was experiencing similar sartorial difficulties, putting on an almost identical outfit during a visit to the kitchens of the Royal Brompton Hospital, Chelsea.
He was there to hear about the locally sourced and organic food served to patients and to attend a healthy eating seminar.
