Marc Anthony worries about missing baby birth
Pop star Marc Anthony fears he'll miss the delivery of his baby if it's not born in the next week.
The singer has a concert scheduled in his native Puerto Rico on February 8, and that might keep him away from the Long Island, N.Y., hospital where Jennifer Lopez will give birth.
In a new interview with Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia, Anthony says he hopes his wife won't go into labor while he's working.
He says, "I've been with her 24 hours a day, and I'm going to be away from her for just a few hours -- she can't go into labor during that time.
"I mean, I'm praying that doesn't happen."
The 39-year-old star insists the show will go on but he'll fly to Puerto Rico for his show, then immediately fly back to New York.
The singer didn't offer any more details about the impending birth, but reports Lopez had checked into hospital on Thursday appeared premature when the singer recently was spotted shopping for baby clothes at a mall.

her c-section is scheduled for the 14th? Even with the "early" appointments they give celebs, the 8th is unlikely?
Be best if he wasn't there one look at him & they'll be trying to get back in.

Who the hell books a concert around their wife's due date? It makes no sense. If he had his priorities straight, he wouldn't be performing. That's the only surefire way to ensure he doesn't miss the birth. If he does, it's his own damn fault!
As for whether he remembers he has other kids, I doubt it. It's probably to their advantage though.

He booked a concert around his wifes due date, he obviously must not care too much wether he sees his kids when they first come out or not. I bet he's just making this statement so he doesn't look like a POS when J-Lo tries to make a big deal of him not being there, if he isn't.

Stupid ass. My husband was worried, too, but he went to work and relied on me to call him if labor ensued.
Rely on the 20+ people who tend to your wife to call you, and you will be fine. (particularly since half the calls will be due to funky gas. Just thank the Lord you get there after the candle has been lit.)
