Courtney Love has credited actor Orlando Bloom with helping her to stay off drugs.
The singer said Bloom changed her life by introducing her to Buddhist chanting.
She told Access Hollywood: "We chant every day. The 12-step programme demands that you have a spiritual practice that you do daily."
The 43-year-old added: "I love Orlando for this. He doesn't mind being outed as a Buddhist. I don't mind talking about it because it has changed my entire life, changed everything - restructured my body, restructured my physicality. Truly I can, not all the time, but I can take joy at really s****y situations."

Meh, she is a name dropper, but I think it's really great that she's able to stay clean. For hardcore addicts with more years of use than non use behind them it's really difficult.
I think for the sake of her child, and herself this is really great.
Also it sets a good hopeful tone for other long term users that it is possible to stay clean. It's excruciating trying to deal with non numbed living when you've been medicating for years. That's why so many commit suicide, it's hard to look at the swath of destruction and failed dreams you've left in your wake.

^^Eh, I have a hard time taking her seriously or her sobriety seriously for that matter. I saw some documentary about her where she sat chanting for the material things that she wanted. Somehow I think Courtney is missing the point. That said, I hope she stays sober for Frances.

the good thing is her daughter seems relatively normal and well adjusted, which is sort of amazing considering how she grew up
