But for today's stars foolish (or, optimistic) enough to declare their love in ink, separation can involve much more pain.
Laguna Beach alum Kristin Cavallari – who recently broke up with boyfriend Nick Zano – is having his initials removed from her left wrist, E! Online is reporting.
The aspiring actress, who recently celebrated her 21st birthday in Vegas at Luxor's LAX nightclub, is reportedly seeing the same Beverly Hills doctor who performed plastic surgery on The Hills's Heidi Montag.
