Brittany Murphy has posed for countless photos over the years, but PageSix.com has learned who took the first published photos of her more than a decade ago — the man who would become her husband, Simon Monjack.

"No one knows this, but I took Brittany's first photograph for a magazine," Simon tells us. "It was Jane magazine, Brittany was this big," he said holding his hand out at hip level.

Simon, 37, admits Brittany was "too young to touch in those days. To make a long story short, I was very patient," Simon said. It was worth the wait according to Brittany, 30, who says he's now the love of her life.
The pair are currently in Park City, Utah, where Simon is working on a series of celebrity stills for Amnesty International, shooting at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at the House of Hype.
The couple opened about the constant scrutiny their marriage has been subjected to, as well as attacks from the likes of former assistants and old flames.

"After we were married and had all those ridiculous rumors and stupidity, it was just like, 'Are you kidding me?' We never addressed it, and I'm not going to now," Simon said.
The lovebirds, who wed just under a year ago, talked about married life, saying that they're strict about never waking up in a separate bed, and one never working while the other is.
"We've created an environment that's conducive to making art and having fun and enjoying each other, and we can take that environment with us everywhere we go," said Brittany.

No, he's mostly unemployed with a shady past. He's got a really shady past.

Yeah, if I do the math, his comments aren't quite so bad. She's 30 now, so 'over a decade' still doesn't put her at eleven years old or anything. And their age difference is negligible, so I can't really call him a dirty old man.

Still, this is classic "why do you think we need to hear this, idiot?" material. And there IS something creepy and loathesome about him. Not surprised to hear about his shady past. Maybe his comments DO reveal more than it would seem.

Brittany Murphy and Factory Girl executive producer and writer Simon Monjack shocked friends and family in April by marrying after only four months of dating. The couple skipped the proposal and honeymoon, exchanging Neil Lane rings in a private L.A. home with only their families present.
But now Murphy’s inner circle is growing concerned about her new man’s history before he swept Murphy, 29, off her feet.
Among his troubles: two warrants for his arrest in Virginia for alleged credit-card theft and fraud; an unpaid $6,087 legal bill, and a $502,910 judgment against him by a British investment firm.
And Us Weekly reports in its new issue that Monjack gave his former fiancée, British film producer Taira Rafiq, an engagement ring he had told her was a diamond but was, in fact, cubic zirconia.
He also was jailed earlier this year for overstaying his tourist visa, and Murphy, 29, had to bail him out. “Simon began pushing for marriage, since he was going to be deported,” says a source, adding that Murphy paid for her own engagement ring
Monjack tells Us, “It is a real tragedy that success, greed, envy and celebrity are the motivation for attacking my family and character.”
