I read an interview w/Christie somewhere where she said that she had actually been having memory problems herself and it was making acting more and more difficult. So I don't doubt she really put her heart into this role. And I'm very glad she won, since it sounded like this might really be her last hurrah.

Cotillard was astonishing as Piaf. I know this because I saw ONE DAMN SCENE from the film on youtube and it was enough to make me break down crying. That's impressive. I'm making sure to have a full box of Kleenex ready when I sit down for the whole film.

so glad cate blanchett won for 'i'm not there'. she may not have had enough minutes onscreen to qualify as a lead role but damn, that's the best acting of her career and that's saying a lot since she's been consistently brilliant in everything she's done. she is bob dylan in this. it's almost scary.

glad tina fey and david duchovny won too.

I am sick of seeing Entourage and its actors win. Mad Men is good but where is some love for Dexter? It is hard to have a fantastic Season 2 and Dexter did. GRRRRRR!

Wait, did Juno not win anything? Odd. I thought that ex-stripper was Hollywood's new It Girl.

Can't you just hear the moaning and whining going on in Hollywood right now? Ten bucks says a whole slew of those winners are pissed beyond words they didn't get a chance to strut thier stuff on the red carpet and give a 'heartfelt' thank you speech. I can hear the knives being sharpened right now. The writers had better watch thier backs.

Sputnik and Butt. Sincere words of truth have never been spoken as eloquently. ITA x10.

I agree with the writers demands, but holding the viewers and fans hostage is going to run thin in 3.2.1......

I had to watch law and friggin order instead of having my GG drinking game, and Im still sober....Not happy Jan!

i agree baldwin deserved it more than duchovny but they were my 2 faves in that category so i'm happy as long as one of the 2 won.
and duchovny is totally delicious as hank the unreliable writer/manwhore.
