She’s young, beautiful, and unemployed. That’s right, Lauren Conrad, 21, has reportedly been dumped from her internship with Teen Vogue, along with Hills pal Whitney Port.

And according to an insider, the constant partying and lifestyle choices portrayed on LC’s show “The Hills” may have had something to do with the decision handed down from Teen Vogue execs.

"The average age of the magazine’s readership is 16 — do they really want to support the behavior depicted in “The Hills?” They also started to see that newsstand sales were flat… there was no blip on the radar when Lauren and Whitney were involved.”

So what are these two gonna do? An industry spy reports that both Lauren and Whitney are already sorting through other job prospects for the show’s next season. In the mean time, at least they won’t be sustaining themselves on food stamps.

If I were an exec, I would have fired her immediately after seeing the way she sits in that office playing on the internet, mocking her boss, and gossiping with Whitney, then bitches, moans, and rolls her eyes whenever they ask her to actually DO something.

I remember when they told her she would get to meet Marc Jacobs. As is always the case when she's accepting the perks that she feels so entitled to, she was marching around with this smug little grin on her face all day.

Then, when she got to the shoot and they asked her to help dress the models, there was a lot of pouting and eye-rolling as she half-assed her way through it. The expression on her face was like, "How DARE they ask me to actually WORK? Do they KNOW who I am?"

Finally, she lounged her ungrateful ass into a chair, scowling. When Marc Jacobs did come in, she couldn't even be bothered to get up and greet him. You could tell he wasn't pleased.

There was also the time when she let her friends into a VIP-event and allowed them to sit in the seats that she'd specifically been told not to let anyone touch.

She wasn't qualified for the job in the first place, she doesn't do what she's supposed to, and I'm surprised Teen Vogue has continued to "employ" her for as long as they have. I think they're finally realizing that it makes THEM look bad to continue to glorify this employee who so blatantly disrespects her superiors and half-asses her job.

Lauren Conrad has parted ways with Teen Vogue, where she worked as an intern, but the 21-year-old reality star says nobody told her: “You’re fired.”

“No, no, it was a decision I made because I was kind of done,” she told PEOPLE on Friday at the opening of the Jimmy Choo Flagship store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. “I’ve been doing it for about two years, so I’m kind of done.”

Conrad hasn’t found another part-time job — “Honestly, I can’t tell you because I haven’t decided yet. I’m looking,” she says — but is leaning toward something in the fashion world. “I really like working backstage at fashion shows, so I’m looking kind of in production,” she says. “I love it. It’s like the most amazing high. It’s like the best feeling.”

Of course, she also has her day job — being Lauren Conrad on MTV’s popular The Hills, which is returning for another season.
So, will we see her with a guy on the show? “I hope so!” she says
