Roseanne Barr rips Oprah one regarding Barack Obama
I LOVE THIS WOMAN, crazy or not, I JUST LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!
Source: JustJared
Quote:
Roseanne Barr Hates Oprah
Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her
latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential
candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling
and grammar fixed):
– Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
– Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that
she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in
California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay
their “fair share” of Cali tax.
– Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to
decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas,
no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the
masses with bedtime stories about hope.
– Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a
closeted republican and chose Barack because you do not like other
women who actually stand for something to working American Women
besides glamour, angels, Hollywood and dieting!
– It is historical that Oprah, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man
with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years
of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to
her for inspiration!

You know, I could actually go for Obama if that
"Queen of ME" Oprah hadn't attached her self
centered ass to him?
Politics is what it is: there's very little integrity
going on. You gotta pick the least corrupt one,
unfortunately. On the upside: we can't do worse
than Chimpy McSmirkface.

Oprah totally turned me off of Obama... just like a majority of the books on her "list" I always make a point of buying one that doesn't not have the Oprah book club endorsement anywhere on it.

Uh, where's Hillary's 35 years of political experience? Being married to the Governor of Arkansas and the President of the United States doesn't count as actual political experience. That's not to say Hillary hasn't been politically active, but that's not the same as political experience.
In fact, Hillary's entire career as a 'seasoned woman politician' is built on the fact that she's Mrs. Bill Clinton. Hillary would NEVER have been elected senator of N.Y. if it wasn't for Bill, and she wouldn't be a front-runner in the election if it wasn't for Bill. I mean, I like Hillary, but let's keep it real.

Crap, Rosie is right and it kills me to say so. I don't think she has to chose the female candidate but it's still interesting that she chose Obama...a guy with a whopping three years of political experience, most of which has been spent campainging for another office.
ETA: She has been elected to the Senate twice though. She may not have 35 solid years as a politican but there's not doubt she has far more experience than Obama or Edwards.

She graduated from Yale in (started in 1969) 1973 (law).
Before that, she had gone to and graduated from College for...you guessed it, POLITICAL SCIENCE.
For a total of 39 years worth of experience.

Well, I find it offensive that Oprah is endorsing or campaigning for anybody. She is very aware of her power and influence, and I think she's abusing it. Does she think if she chooses Obama as one of her "favorite things" all her minions will vote for him like they run out and buy anything she endorses? This is an election, not her fucking book club.
It's like "Oprah Winfrey Presents: the Next President." Scary.

Exactly the reason why she messed things up for Obama
as far as I'm concerned. She's megalomaniacal, period.

I know...that's the scary part. She already had him on her show (which introduced him to her viewers) and I think she should have left it at that.

Okay. So, by that theory, then anybody who studies law or political science has the experience to be president, right?
Up until Hillary became senator of New York, she was NOT a politician, but a politician's WIFE. Big difference. Until you hold public office, you are not a politician, even if your spouse is.
And I'm curious, I wonder if all of the people complaining about Oprah endorsing Obama would be complaining if she were endorsing Hillary instead?

Oh, come on now: if a braindead SOB like Chimpy can hold office
for EIGHT friggin' years no less. If that idiot gets free reign to
blow up what little stability there was on this planet, then surely
Hillary, and even Obama (if he dumps the Holy Cow Oprah) can
be president, too and probably do less damage.
