Singer and psychic friend network entrepreneur Dionne Warwick had $100,000 worth of bling stolen from her Rome hotel room, her rep confirmed to PageSix.com. And she may sue Hotel De Russie.
Dionne was getting ready for her concert at Rome's Sistina theatre, and like she always does, laid out her gown on the bed and jewelry on the table, her rep Kevin Sasaki told us. "She went downstairs to meet up with someone real quick. She locked the door and went downstairs and came back and everything was gone. She was surprised, I mean this happened at one of the most high-end luxury hotels--and she's going to take issue with that. I don't know if she's going to sue the hotel but she's definitely going to discuss this with her attorney."
"These are pieces of jewelry that weren't costume jewelry," he told us. The stolen goods include custom-designed pieces, a Rolex watch, a diamond ring, earrings and a necklace.
The 67-year-old singer is on a world tour and is performing in Italy for another two weeks. When asked if she was still staying at the Hotel De Russie, the rep said, "Well, it's the host hotel for this leg of the tour, and when you're at the top hotel and this happens, what are you going to do? She may switch suites. Obviously the security at the hotel needs to be looked at."
"It was a big shock and surprise to her that this could happen in a hotel like that," the rep said. "The trooper that she is, she went on and did the show, I think she even mentioned what happened on stage."

I guess all of Dionne's psychic friends were on vacation, and couldn't warn her in advance.
But I think the real story is she was snoring in her sleep and the suction from her nostrils was too strong and sucked them up by mistake. You could hide al-queda in those things.
Seriously, why would you travel with such an absurd amount of expensive jewels? And not use a safe? I understand she says it was "just for a second", but damn. Don't expensive hotels have security cameras on the floors to see who comes and goes? It would have to be hotel staff.

Damn, no way I'd travel with that much $$$ jewelry. Better to travel with good costume jewelry and save the good stuff for home.

Wasn't DW recently rumored recently to be having financial woes? If true it could put a different spin on this robbery. Although I can't imagine Whitney would let auntie worry about money.
