Matt Keough of "Real Housewives of O.C." arrested
"Real Housewives" Husband Really Arrested
Posted Dec 20th 2007 4:16PM by TMZ Staff
Reality has set in for "Real Housewives of Orange County" husband Matt Keough. The former MLB star was popped by cops Tuesday afternoon in Newport Beach, Calif., after officers found him drinking at the bar at a local Marriott, thus violating his probation. Classy!
The 52-year-old Keough pleaded guilty to felony DUI charges in 2005, after crashing his SUV into another car and causing a chain reaction which seriously injured a bicyclist. Keough left the accident scene and was found at a nearby store. He reportedly blew almost three times the legal limit. Wow -- that's drunk!
The judge sentenced Keough to probation. The terms indicated he was not to consume any alcohol -- not even a drop. Cops arrested him after a Newport Beach police officer recognized him -- and knew he was not supposed to be drinking.
Marty Keough, Matt's dad and his uncle Joe all played professional baseball. His douchebag son Shane is currently playing minor league ball.
He'll be arraigned on the probation violation tomorrow.
P.S. The mods can move this to the TV and Movies section if need be...

Well shit. I guess it is back in the clink for him. I think Jeanna is about fed up with him anyway. And they forgot to mention the 'lil rascal' douchebag son Colton. Just like his brother Shame.

Well...at least the cops caught him before someone was seriously injured this time.
On second thought, catching them in the bar is actually a good idea - just station cops right inside and start running names and arresting people as they get up to walk out. I think I'm gonna call MADD and give them my suggestion.

^^Cops have been doing that for years up here. Another good place to catch bad drivers is right outside court. Lots of these losers lose their licenses, then walk out and drive themselves home!

Am I getting my OC hubs mixed up, or does this guy have preexisting brain damage?

Actually when you lose your license, the courts give you a waiver to drive home from the courthouse.
When I was down in Blacksburg, the cops would post up along Main St. and just pick people off that were stumbling outside the bars. I had many friends who fell victim to the trap and spent the night in the drunk tank. Luckily I wasn't one of them, I knew how to maintain in front of the popos!

Yeah, He's the one who got beaned in the head with a fastball. His family has said on the show that he was a different person afterwards.

Really - cops do that? I've never seen that. Seriously. I always thought they should it. Hmmm...maybe it happens where I live and I just don't know it.

If you have a decent attorney, even with your license suspended you can get generous driving privileges. I had driving privileges for work, for appointments, for getting RX's filled, etc. I always had a recent RX that was fillable with me at all times, and I quickly learned where all the pharmacies were in town, especially the all night 24/7 ones. I could get away with driving practically anywhere at any time.
