Default Kate Middleton and Prince William kill some pheasants then have a kiss

It is a dedicated girlfriend indeed who trudges through icy fields picking up the carcases of birds for her boyfriend.

That was Kate Middleton yesterday as she joined Prince William on a pheasant shoot in Windsor Great Park.

The prince's 25-year- old girlfriend helped him collect the birds he had shot and throw them into a game cart. Scroll down for more...
That's devotion: Kate helps William collect dead pheasants

She was rewarded for her efforts with an affectionate stroke of the head as William snuggled up for a kiss.
According to friends, the couple - who split up in late spring but got back together again six weeks later - are more in love than ever.

Kate looked quite the countrywoman in a brown hip-length jacket and fur hat. Scroll down for more...
Kate and William after their bird-shooting exploits..The prince puts an affectionate arm around her...

William, also 25, wore a more traditional wax jacket and tweed cap.
They headed into a small copse from which a barrage of shots rang out, bringing down several dozen birds.

An onlooker said: "It wasn't clear whether Kate was actually shooting, but she had no qualms about joining in to pick up the pheasants. Scroll down for more...
...And then gently ruffles the fur hat she is wearing, before snuggling in to give Kate a kiss

"Afterwards, they cuddled up together, Kate snuggling her head into William's neck as he put his arm around her.
"They really couldn't have been closer." Scroll down for more...

Killing things. It's like some sort of royal foreplay.

I would hope that anyone who bashes them for hunting is a complete vegan otherwise you are a complete hypocrite. That includes abstaining from Italian leather shoes or hand bags. I am always amazed when women with designer leather everything snort about how atrocious hunting is. Hunting is far more humane than raising animals for slaughter whether to eat or remain stylish.

i agree with you. i eat meat and wear leather so i can't really oppose hunting as long as people follow rules and respect quotas. i feel like a hypocrite because i could never go out with a gun and kill an animal myself but i have no trouble eating game during hunting season.

Are you sure it's a hat? Maybe her head is being attacked by a rabid raccoon.

I'm vegetarian. I do eat eggs (from free-range chickens). Don't wear leather, though.

With hunting, it depends upon the purpose. Eating the animals they kill is one thing. However, there's a lot of weekend warriors who kill for the sake of killing. How many hunters eat the bears they kill?

What about the good ol' fox hunt? What's humane about turning a pack of dogs loose on a poor fox? How is this a 'sport'?

Look at the big game hunter tourism in Africa. These fat western slobs travel to Africa to kill a lion and so forth. In north america, there are now wild game 'parks' where these slobs can shoot what is essentially a caged exotic animal including lions. The animals are put in a small confined area 20' x 20' and the 'hunters' kills them.

Saw this on 20/20. I watched the piece and fervently prayed the gun would malfunction and blow up in their faces.

That's not hunting to me. That's just cruel.
I have no problem with hunting either, if people eat the meat. People eat bear meat around here all the time, it's rather good; gamey but good.

^^^
i should also add that as long as people eat the animals and respect rules and quotas i'm fine with it. i don't believe in just killing animals that won't be eaten, that's just wasteful.
