Rupert Everett makes an unexpectedly glamorous appearance in the new St Trinian's movie in a cross-dressing role apparently inspired by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
The flamboyant actor, who dons a blonde wig and knee-length skirt for the part of "pantomime dame" headmistress Miss Camilla Fritton, proved to be a striking doppelganger for the royal.

"She's got a sense of humour, and she likes a drink and a cigarette - she's my kind of girl.

The 48-year-old, who has a second starring role as Miss Fritton's dodgy art dealer brother Carnaby, also looked for inspiration closer to home.
He says: "Miss Fritton is also rather like my mother. She's an upper class woman, one of the kind of empire-ruling women of my parents' generation, who I find very amusing and feel affection for."
The highly anticipated remake also stars Colin Firth, model Lily Cole and comedian Russell Brand.
The film premieres in London tonight, and is scheduled for general release on December 21.
