Default Germany wants to ban Scientology

Germany Wants Nothing To Do With Scientology

Germany's top officials announced today that they are seeking a ban on the Church of Scientology. They believe it "threatens the peaceful democratic order" and are putting together the necessary information to ban the cult religion.
They also believe Scientology's principles conflict with the nation's constitution.
The President of the Scientology in Berlin said, "It is very, very clear that the true picture of what Scientology is about is pushing its way through. The interior ministers are clearly reacting to that."
The interior ministers gave no specific reasons as to why they want that shit banned but said, "From a number of sources, some of them not available to the public, it has been determined that (the organization) seeks to limit or rescind basic and human rights, such as the right to develop one's personality and the right to be treated equally."
Scientology first set up camp in Germany in 1970. They currently have around 6,000 members.
The shit is on. Send Agent Tommy Girl and Agent Travolta Girl into Germany STAT. They must challenge these interior ministers to a dance-off followed by a sword fight (you know what kind of sword fight I'm talking about).
These interior ministers probably want to replace Scientology with a religion called The Hoff.

That's fine. We still don't forgive you for the Holocaust though.

All *those* Germans are dead, except a few 90 year olds scattered about. Germans today had nothing to do with it.

Time to get over it, stop building monuments to the past and start putting up some for the future.

Remember the past. Don't live in it.

I wish more countries would recognize Scientology for what it is -a dangerous and manipulative cult- and do the same.

I can just hear the pilots conversation:

Co-Pilot: "We're here to pick up the enlightened ones, right?"
    Pilot: "Yep."
Co-Pilot: "So...why are we picking up Tom Cruise? I thought he was a whack-job closet fairy."
Pilot: "Dude, he does his own stunts!"

My uncle got mixed up in Scientology in the early seventies. His band was doing pretty well, so, being a rich brat, he borrowed some money form his parents and moved out to LA...

Got completely messed up with scientology...that is, until he ran out of money.

He moved back after ten years...complete wack job, now. Mind you he was a little freaky before he left, but he came back out of his gd mind. He's had to be instistutionalized about five times since then. He likes to talk about how the government controls you through electronic signals. Awesome.

^^ That is so sad. I wonder how much of a part Scientology played in your uncle's problems. I'm afraid to open my mouth about them. I've heard horror stories about what they do to people who speak out.

I'm sure in 50yrs time, scientology will have been accepted as just another religion. Just because it sounds strange doesn't mean it's bad. The religious texts we have now sound strange too e.g. water into wine, a burning bush that talks, an ocean being parted into two, a man being swallowed by a whale, etc....

    And no I'm not a scientologist. Atheist-agnostic.
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and sky...
