5. Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, $17 million each
That's a pretty good chunk of change for a pair who, more often than not, can be found wandering the streets looking like starving bag ladies. Lucky troll babies.

I find it hard to believe that Hilary has earned as much as Lavigne.
I presumed that Avril would be wealthier.
And according to a LOT of different websites, the Olsen twins are BILLIONAIRES.
So this $17M that's mentioned might be their yearly allowance and not their net worth.

^ I thought that their company was worth a billion, but they don't own the whole thing do they? I'm assuming that there are a lot of other investors who get a share.
I'm also surprised about Carrie Underwood, but I think it's because I'm underestimating the popularity of country music.
What has Frankie Muniz done this year to make $3 million?

I'm impressed by the Olsen twins too.
But a lot of these earnings must be coming from investments they made in the past? Or they still have such good deals and contracts going on?

They've made billions over the years. I'm sure this may just be royalties and residuals. Unless they have other products under their company that are selling.

I was surprised that Maria Sharapova was 3rd. She didnt win any grand slams this year but still makes a lot of money...not bad for her.

^Maria seems to have endorsed everything under the sun.
I don't understand why they lumped Ashley and Mary-Kate together. Poor girls must have such identity crises.
