Default 2007 Peace Summit Award honorees: George Clooney & Don Cheadle

Dec 13 - 15: The 8th World Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome.
Each year the City of Rome, together with the Gorbachev Foundation, brings Nobel Prize winners together for the Annual Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. TheCommunity.com is proud to be a partner in the Summit. At the opening ceremonies, the Nobel Laureates traditionally honor an artist who has worked to spread the message of peace, with the prestigious Peace Summit Award. Past award recipients include Yusuf Islam, Bob Geldof and Peter Gabriel.

We are proud to announce that the 2007 Peace Summit Award will be jointly awarded to Mr. George Clooney and Mr. Don Cheadle, in honor of their tremendous work to stop the killing and alleviate the suffering of the victims of Darfur.

The Peace Summit Award is a one-of-a-kind sculpture produced for the award each year by a well known Italian artist. It is presented by Walter Veltroni, Mayor or Rome, and Mikhail Gorbachev, former President of the U.S.S.R., joined by the Nobel Laureates attending the Summit and other Italian dignitaries.

Take that all you jealous George Clooney haters.

I was for sure the honorees were going to be AJ and BP, and that I was going to have to go throw up.

This is very nice, but it means nothing unless the government actually does something to truly alleviate the problem.

If it were AJ & BP I would not have posted it.
Used to be a fan of AJ, but no longer. My friends saw her behaving badly at their fave restaurant in Chicago, while BP stood by embarrassed.

I hate George Clooney. I don't even find him physically appealing anymore, and I'm beyond sick of this multi-million dollar movie stars save to poor third world crap.

AJ & BP were in Chicago (AJ was filming 'Wanted') and they popped into a high end bistro unannounced (most A-listers call ahead). All the VIP tables were taken, so they made them wait exactly 11 mins while something else was set up. The entire time, AJ was tapping her foot glaring, BP was embarrassed but didn't say anything til she went to the loo. He apologized to the waiter for her behavior, said she was tired. Everyone loved him, hated her. It's really not surprising.

Sorry, I'm not naming the restaurant.
