Dennis Quaid needed a police escort to visit sick twins because of paparazzi

A crush of paparazzi were on the tails of Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington to the point they had to get help from the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept., just so they could visit their kids.

A Sheriff's rep tells TMZ the paps were following the Quaids from their home and made it next to impossible for them to drive to Cedars-Sinai, where their children are recovering after a massive medical screw-up.

More than ten paps (not TMZ) have been on the Quaids, shouting out question after question. We're told Dennis asked them just to leave them alone so they could get to the hospital. When that didn't happen, the Sheriffs escorted the Quaids to Cedars, just after noon today.

That's sick. Following/harassing two worried parents who just want to visit their sick babies in the hospital is so low and wrong. Those paps are just scum.

Something will have to be done eventually with these paps. They are out of control. Seriously, we all love gossip around here, but who really wants to see a picture of Dennis Quaid and his wife going to see their sick babies???

This is absurd---I can understand the paps following around trainwrecks like Lohan and Britney, since they invite the attention, but they need to draw the line somewhere. Owen Wilson, Dennis Quaid....these people are trying to quietly deal with some shit, and that should be respected.

OK, so who is going to be the judge about what gets censored? What's good for one is good for all, not matter what the circumstances. If there wasn't a market for it they wouldn't be after the pictures. Its all part of the game, ugly or not.
