Britney Spears is taking "security measures" to protect her children, her attorney says.
"Recent aggressive actions by individuals who have followed (Spears) and blocked her access, with and without the children, have resulted in her decision to take certain security measures which she hopes will only be necessary temporarily, for the protection of the children," Sorrell Trope said in a statement Monday.
No specifics were given on what those measures would be.
Spears, 25, locked in a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 29, is routinely swarmed by photographers and has run over the feet of them at least twice as they surrounded her car.
A judge last week ordered that Spears no longer could drive with sons Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, after it was revealed she had allegedly run a red light with them in the car.
Over the weekend, the three of them were chauffeured to the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.
As for the ongoing custody case, Trope said steps are being taken to calm the media storm.
"Ms. Spears hopes that she and Mr. Federline will be able to reach an agreement as to all matters concerning their children," Trope said. "She hopes that by not commenting on court proceedings the media attention in those proceedings will subside, which she requests for the safety and well being of the children."
Meanwhile, it was announced that Federline would be hosting a New Year's party at the Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub in Las Vegas.

How about you not drive around town at all hours of the night and day with your cheetos in the back?
There's an idea.

Mr. Trope, senior partner, seems to steps in when things get crazy... I hope they can work something out.
Like Britney being driven in a tinted window car by a competent driver. I wonder when she will start listening to reason.

Her idea of 'security measures' is extra chicken wire and a trail of cheetos to keep her kids away from the pool and electrical sockets... if she's even that smart.

They need to be protected from YOU. Try baby-proofing your house before the court tells you to, you dumb bitch. Way to try to deflect your own crappy parenting skills.

Well, this is a novel approach--suddenly she's concerned about the safety and well-being of her kids. And it's all the media's fault. Ummm if she'd just keep the kids at home in a safe, secure environment, there would be no issue here. Instead she (once again) has her visitation at a hotel.
I don't know how her lawyers can make statements like this with a straight face...oh that's right, she's paying them serious money.

I would gain and itty-bitty, teeny-weeny smidgeon of respect for her if she just GAVE Kevin full custody for the time being. She is not mentally and emotionally ready to be a mom yet. She needs to get her shit together sans kids, instead of dragging them with her.

The best security measure Britney could take for kids is to disown them.

She could wrap them in barbed wire near a power point (socket) and give them a knife and they would be safer than being with her

I like that she released a statement to say that she wasn't going to put the kids in the media. Duh....
Also the first step in any security process? You never announce when you're putting any security in place. You just do it. That's just basic common sense. Any security specialist will tell that the last thing you do is talk about your security plans.
But it's not like anybody doesn't know this a CYA, she was court ordered to not drive with the kids in the car and is already under supervision with the kids. But now they're trying to play it like that was Britney's choice, and suddenly now the dangerous paparrazzi made her stop driving around instead of THE COURT.

Yes, a private car and driver would help. Damn if I had the money, that's all I would use to get my ass around town. I get sick of all the traffic.

Common sense is what she lacks though. This shit is getting more ridiculous all the time. If I screwed around/up as much as this hooch, my kid would've been snatched immediately!
