This has been obvious ever since the time she and Papa Joe went around telling everyone that John Mayer was in love with her and wanted to marry her and he basically called them out on it and let everyone know they were full of shit.

He backtracked later. I believe Ashlee Simpson is bisexual/gay and has direct personal information that John Mayer is too. She told Creepy Pa Simpson and he started blackmailing John, threatening to out him if he didn't tell everyone that he actually WAS dating Jessica. Since his whole fanbase is made up of girls who think he's hot, he couldn't afford to take that risk.

Jessica and her perverted father have a history of linking her to every single guy that she meets, obviously without their knowledge. They blew it with the whole John Mayer thing, though. He made it very clear what was going on, and I don't believe her credibility was ever restored. It's sick and troubling (though not surprising) that they've resorted to taking advantage of Owen Wilson's medical situation to get attention for Jessica.

I hope that he very publicly tears Jessica and her pimp/father a new one for this.

Gold Dust - me too. And it seems like karma is finally coming back to all these celebs this year. Which on the one hand is rewarding, but on the other hand, what are we gonna talk about in a year or two when everyone's got what they deserve?????
