Default Spice Girls celebrate Christmas with Tesco

The newly reunited Spice Girls have teamed up with UK grocery store Tesco for a festive campaign. “We are thrilled to be working with the Spice Girls for our Christmas campaign. We feel that the new commercials really emphasise Tesco’s commitment to offer something different and exciting this Christmas” said a spokeperson for Tesco. The adverts will air in the U.K. during Coronation Street on November 12th. In the spot, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham hide from each other while shopping for holiday gifts. Click here to watch the clip.

I guess being Posh ain't bringing in as much dough as being one of the girls does. I think they know their reunion is going to be short-lived and want to get as much $$$ out of it as they can. Frankly, I really don't blame them. It will all be over this time next year and they will each have a few more bills to count.

If Tesco is doing a celebrity promo to boost business, I hope they stock up first. I read the food blog of a UK woman I *know* from a food forum. She is always so annoyed with the Tesco near her house because they always seem to be out of certain things, thus forcing her to drive to Sainsbury's farther away.
