Singer Kylie Minogue is currently planning to adopt an Aboriginal baby. The Aussie superstar will be following in the footsteps of Madonna, who adopted a baby from Malawi last year. A source close to Kylie said: “She’d make a great mum. She’s so caring and considerate and has a playful sense of humour as well. Having cancer really got her thinking about her chances of having a child. She feels now might be the time to go ahead. She’s got a lot of love to give.” Kylie has been getting advice on an adoption from her parents and sister Danni Minogue before making her final decision.

The title of the thread is clearly "Kylie Minogue" but I guess I saw the word "adopt" and I thought the thread was about Angelina Jolie. I clicked on it and saw the picture and thought "when did Angelina go blonde?" Sigh. I must learn to read the actual words rather than jump to conclusions.

Hmm I call this utter bullshit and will believe it when I see it. For one, she doesn't live in Australia, she now resides in England - so how can she apply to adopt a baby over here. Also, I was under the impression that they would only place a baby of Aboriginal decent with an Aboriginal family - not with a white family.

That makes sense - I hope that is truth.

has she even looked into this? I doubt they will let her - she's not aboriginal.

Well good for her. She's waited a long time to become a mum. And who knows how hard it'll be to have her own after the cancer.
I think its great. And at least she's sticking with an Australian baby.

I don't believe this story, but good for her if it is true. I don't see anything wrong with interracial adoptions.

They're not going to let her adopt an Aboriginal baby... I'll believe that when I see it! I'm supportive of inter-racial adoptions but like someone said it's not done in Australia. Maybe that's changing.

For some reason the thought of this drives me nuts. An Aboriginal baby deserves better.

It just would not happen. There would be such an uproar from Aboriginal community leaders for starters about a celebrity buying a Koori baby and taking it away from it's roots. Besides, Kylie is such a workaholic. This story is almost laughable it's so untrue.
