Default Nick Hogan arrested for reckless driving

Nick Hogan has been arrested for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury and is currently being booked in to the Pinellas County Jail stemming from the tragic car accident back in August which left his friend in critical condition.
Nick’s rep, Adam Handelsman, EVP of 5WPR, issued the following statement to TMZ:Nick and the entire Hogan Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena; a court of law.”
Cops have concluded Nick Hogan was drinking the night he crashed his Supra, severely injuring his best friend.
Clearwater PD today released details of their investigation into the August 26 crash. In addition to being arrested for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, cops also cited Hogan for use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, a person under the age of 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and having and Illegal window tint.

If they were parents with ANY conscience whatsoever they should have thrown him in jail themselves.

I know my parents would have.

YAY!!! I'm so glad that this boob has been arrested for that horrible accident he caused. And those are some pretty serious charges.--Awesome! I hope this arrogant twit ends up in jail. And what his rep said really pisses me off:

^True...

But the kid still should have been wearing a seat belt...

Not saying Nick is excused for his actions...but maybe had his friend been wearing his seat belt his injuries wouldn't have been as critical and life altering...

ITA...what did they expect when their kid driving recklessly, while underage drinking, which destroyed the life of a friend and his family?

IMO, he's lucky it's not manslaughter too, since his friend is still technically alive.

I do wonder what his actual blood alcohol content was though--since he's a minor it only has to be over .02 but I am curious how intoxicated he really was.

What really bothered me is how they tried to downplay his friend's injuries, like he just had a bump on the head and was gonna wake up soon. Since the seriousness of the injury was reported, they've basically had nothing else to say.

Well I can imagine that if it was my son I would feel 'saddened' as well..but along with furious, angry, depressed, disappointed, pissed of to hell, remorseful, etc. etc. etc. -alot of emotions. I think just choosing 'saddened' was a VERY poor choice on the part of the person responsible for the press release. WTF were they thinking? Just using that one emotion makes them look like total assholes. That rep should know better and be fired.

*I do not 'follow' this family so they very well may be total assholes..just giving the benefit of the doubt here.

If Nick or the Hogans had a shred of conscience they would've tortured themselves with the knowledge that Nick has effectively ended his friend's life and sentenced him to an existance in a hospital bed hooked up to life support.

I really hate when people bring up the kid who was injured was partially at fault too. Yeah, he used poor judgment and he'll pay for it the rest of his life, in his case the punishment did NOT fit the crime. But this kid is the one who needs to pay now. He was the driver, he was drinking, he could have killed anyone else who wasn't "partially responsible", and he needs to pay for it. I don't mind if he gets years behind bars, thats what he deserves.
