She shot to fame as one of the world's most popular supermodels, but these days Helena Christensen is looking worn out - and just a little bit geeky.
The 38-year-old stepped out in Hollywood yesterday sporting oversized reading glasses, unbrushed hair and a thrown together outfit - a far cry from her glamorous days on the catwalk in the 1990s.
The mother-of-one says she's never felt the need to conform.

Geeky: Helena was almost unrecognisable during a recent outing in Hollywood
She told the Times: "I've never had anyone tell me that I needed to change my body but there are always moments when people think that you aren't beautiful enough."
"But this little French agency was crazy enough to give me a chance back in 1986. I still had baby-fat, a horrendous leftover perm, fat apple cheeks and big bushy eyebrows."
"But, I suppose, back then, girls were valued for their originality. It was about being different and versatile."

Model behaviour: Helena has swapped life on the catwalk for a photography career
Helena now spends most of her time on the other side of the lense, working as a photographer.
She has said: "With photography, I work to my own agenda – it is where I feel most liberated."
The star has denied reports she's dating newly actor Heath Ledger, who recently split from girlfriend Michelle Williams.
She dismissed the claims, saying: "It is so annoying. I can't even tell you."

She's always been ugly.
She just needs to update her glasses and fix that hair. She's still a very beautiful woman IMO.
Her mouth looks like she forgot to put her teeth in (my g-ma always says that, mainly because she always forgets to put her dentures in).
Other than that, she doesn't look that bad. At least she doesn't look pulled tighter than a drum.

She hasn't looked good for years...she's got some big, weird features that just weren't going to age well, plus she does sort of have that toothless look. Still has pretty eyes, though.

She looked a lot prettier before she cut those bangs/fringe. Her eyes and skintone are gorgeous though.
I don't recall her ever being freshed-face, even in her heyday.
Having said that, she's no longer a model, so I don't see why she should be polished all the time-she's not trying for time in front of the camera. I'm sure she still cleans up nicely.
I don't think she was ever a great beauty. She had really pretty eyes and dark hair. That combo made her striking, but not exactly beautiful.
I thought she was beautiful at this time while making the video.
