Good. It's too bad all of these idjiots weren't dropped by their labels/studio execs etc for poor decision making.
High School Musical starlet Vanessa Hudgens has not signed a $1 million contract with shoe giant Skechers, reps for both Vanessa and Skechers tell JustJared.com. Maybe next year!
And to make matters worse, OK! is exclusively reporting that Disney will not be asking Vanessa, 18, to join the feature film High School Musical 3.
At fault? The nude photo scandal.
“Disney finally decided that they don’t want her back,” says an insider. “They feel that as long as Zac Efron is in the movie, all will be fine. He’s the real star – the household name – and, most importantly, he comes without baggage.”
Who supposedly will replace Vanessa? Cheetah Girls Adrienne Baillon or DWTS‘ Sabrina Bryan (both 23).
Says OK!’s source: “The producers think that after Dancing With the Stars, Sabrina will be more famous than Vanessa.”
Two words: YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!
Vanessa Hudgens Dropped by Disney? | Vanessa Hudgens : Just Jared

I thought this would happen sooner. Disney dosn't fuck around when it comes to their teeny bopper stars becoming skanks!!!
^ That's not true, Lindsay was a full-on skank and they cast her in Herbie...
I like how they say Zac Efron doesn't come with baggage but he's dating Vanessa, so that whole statement doesn't make sense. I would think it would be more baggage if they canned her and kept him.
Lindsay hadn't flashed her firecrotch yet when she was a Disney ho....that came later.
Right but she did halt production for a few days on the Herbie set due to "exhaustion"
Frankly it seems hypocritical for Disney to drop Vanessa for her nudie pictures but keep Lindsay after continuous rumors of her drug use and partying...Mind you she was only 19 at the time
^^ Maybe they learned their lesson with her? Or maybe Disney is getting enough flack from parents who are sick of the Brits, Linds, diiiirty Christinas and Vanessas.
As for her and the Zach kid, surely you meant to put quotes around the term "dating."I do see your point though.
I don't think Disney really cares about drugs and alcohol...unless the star gets arrested or its proven that they are a substance abuser. Nude pictures aren't as easy to spin into a different story.
That's okay. Vanessa is ready for the big boys like Playboy and Girls Gone Wild.
Well, it makes sense. She was wanting too much money from Disney after the pictures were released for it to make sense to keep her around for the next movie. And, it's true, Zac Effron is more than enough to feel the seats with tween girls.
From what I understood, Vanessa was already being difficult with them and demanding a lot more money than they felt she was worth, so there was already some question as to whether or not they would drop her.
Then the pictures came out, and that just really stacked the deck against her. The High School Musical movies are family oriented, and keeping Vanessa can hurt that image. My 8 year old sister watches those movies, and I can assure you that many of the kids who watch them DO know about this scandal and are asking their parents about it- I know my sister did.
I'm sure parents are complaining to Disney- and they are the ones purchasing these movies and HSM products for their kids. In addition to parents, they have family-friendly sponsors, promoters, and advertisers who might not want to be associated with the scandal. Keeping her could cost them a significant amount of money in lost sales and business opportunities. At this point, I think the smarter move may be to just cut their losses and move on.
The role of Gabriella could EASILY be re-cast, especially now that they're getting older and maturing- it won't be as obvious and will be easier to play off as the character "maturing". Despite what Vanessa probably wants to believe, she's expendable. And if kids ask about it, parents can take the "actions have consequences" route and use this to teach their kids a lesson about not engaging in risky behavior.
