Keira, who plays Georgina, the Duchess of Devonshire, looked less than thrilled with her heavy costume, barely mustering a smile between takes in London's Greenwich yesterday.


She stars opposite Ralph Fiennes, who plays her onscreen husband, while British actress Charlotte Rampling also among the cast.


Georgiana, an ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales, was a socialite at the centre of a circle of leading political and literary figures.

She was also notorious for her extravagant lifestyle and infamous for her marital arrangements - her best friend becoming the Duke's mistress.


According to reports, Keira had intended to have time off this autumn, but couldn't resist the part after reading script.
Keira recently wrapped The Edge Of Love, a film based on the life of poet Dylan Thomas, which co-stars Sienna Miller and Matthew Rhys.

Not to mark myself as a Kiera fan (I really don't care one way or another about her) but she's done several non period pieces, such as 'Bend it Like Beckham', 'Domino' and 'Love, Actually'.

It is true that some actresses have that disease (HBC for instance) and I will agree that she does seem to have a touch of it I don't mind, though, 'cause she's popular in the states right now and her making these pictures mean I can sate my not-so-secret costume junkie
