Britney Spears nearly made a boob over the weekend when her chest made a bid for freedom from her low cut dress.

Bra-less Britney looked nervous as she pulled up, munching on her receding finger nails and attempting to look studious with a good book in her car.

But though reading is liable to impress the judge in her child custody case more than her love of late night partying, her choice of novel was a little tame as she opted for a children's classic - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis.
Her night out comes just after the judge presiding over her custody battle warned her out-of-control behaviour could have a "devastating effects on the children," but ultimately decided to give her permission to spend one night a week with her two young sons.

Spears' attorney Anne Kiley called for an emergency court hearing in an attempt to persuade the judge to allow Spears more time with her boys.
Kiley told the judge: "It is an emergency for a 2 and 1-year-old to be with their mother. I feel it warrants overnights. For a 1 and 2 year old it is developmentally and psychologically traumatizing to have their routine disrupted."

LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon initially said he saw no reason to change the terms of the child custody order during a pre-hearing meeting.

According to Us magazine, he said: “I think you are right. But at the same time this is a person who is dealing with challenges. And the challenges are substance abuse issues and emotional issues that could have devastating effects on the children."

Despite his reservations, Gordon ultimately agreed to allow the singer to spend one night a week with her sons after she made a personal plea yesterday, where she addressed the court in a "soft and respectful voice," according to one observer.

Spears, 25, caused a media frenzy when she arrived at court in jeans, a black satin top and sunglasses hours after the start of a hearing.

The Commissioner allowed Spears to keep her dark sunglasses on in the court room, saying: "I understand you have a medical condition." The condition was not disclosed.

It was the first time Spears had shown up for proceedings over the future of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Good news: Britney Spears, arriving in court yesterday, has been giving extended visitation rights in her custody battle with Kevin Federline

She lost custody of the boys last week to her ex-husband Kevin Federline after failing to comply with court orders for random drug and alcohol testing.

Spears had previously shared custody with Federline but is currently only allowed to see the boys during supervised daytime visits.

Dozens of photographers and camera crews swarmed Spears' white Mercedes as she arrived at Los Angeles Superior Court for the closed-door hearing. She told inquiring reporters: "I'm good, thank you."

She left about an hour later, but declined to make a comment. Federline was not present.
Spears' lawyer said the singer wanted her mother Lynne to act as monitor for the overnight visits. It was not clear whether the court granted the request.

Spears reconciled recently with her mother after a bitter six-month estrangement.
Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said Federline had approved the change.

"Mr. Federline has always been willing to jointly parent these children ... with certain conditions in place," Kaplan told reporters.

Spears has been ordered to get coaching on parenting skills after Gordon said evidence showed she was a frequent user of "controlled substances and alcohol."

The latest drama in Britney's increasingly chaotic life came just hours after she revealed another fashion faux pas, a tight red dress unbuttoned right down to reveal her braless cleavage.

It wasn't the only sight that caught attention - Britney also appears to have developed a small bald patch on the back of her head after years of wearing heavy extensions.

The dishevelled star was visiting a local medical centre where she is rumoured to have undergone a mandatory drug test as part of her custody arrangement.

Spears and Federline split a year ago after two years of marriage, and her life has since veered out of control despite a stint in rehab.
Her new single, "Gimme More," has shot up the music charts, despite a disastrous comeback performance in September.

What eye condition does Brit have that requires her to wear glasses inside the courtroom. The judge mentioned this while she wore glasses in the courtroom... very very odd. But it does not surprise me at all.

She has absolutely no fashion sense whatsover. Worse than me for Chrissakes! She just always looks a mess. Hopefully that book had lots of pics/drawings for her. I bet she is practically functionally illiterate.
