Playground rides and ice cream...doting dad Brad Pitt was clearly in his element on a day out with his children.

With daughter Zahara, 2, and son Pax Thien, 3, cradled in his arms, the Hollywood actor appeared to be having more fun than the kids on a visit to New York's Central Park.
His eldest son, six-year-old Maddox - sporting a Taxi Driver-inspired mohawk - also made the trip, accompanied by a bodyguard, while youngest daughter Shiloh stayed at home with mum Angelina Jolie. Scroll down for more...

Besides treating the children, Pitt mixed his New York visit with business of a philanthropic nature.
On Saturday night, him and Jolie took a helicopter to the Hamptons to host a dinner party raising money to help rebuild New Orleans.
Pitt gave a speech on helping those affected by Hurricane Katrina to guests which included model Christie Brinkley and his Ocean's Thirteen co-star Ellen Barkin. Scroll down for more...

The fund-raiser helped promote Pitt's Make It Right project which is aiming to rebuild areas of New Orleans with environmentally-friendly homes. Then it was back to Manhattan for some more trips to the park for Brad...oh and the children as well.

To be fair, a baby is probably gonna get tired and cranky way before those older kids are ready to leave the fun. Give her another 6-12 mos.

I don't buy the tried/cranky bit with Shiloh. I know a little girl who is the exact same age and the girl just wants to have fun and do what her older siblings are doing. And, we see Suri, Violet, etc. having fun, smiling, laughing, crying, etc. Why not Shiloh?

Sorry, but I firmly believe there is something wrong with Shiloh (autism) and/or that Angie has serious problems with the child (shame, favoritism for the others, etc).

C'mon. Autism? Unloved? Those are huge assumptions. Way more than tired, cranky quicker than an older kid. Do you have kids, tkd? Eh, no matter. I'm not saying a kid Shiloh's age wouldn't love it just as much (maybe more) for the time she's enjoying it. But a kid Shiloh's age will wear out before the older ones. It's not rocket science. Just a simple fact. (therefore a much safer assumption).

Hell, for that matter, for all we know maybe she's off with grandpa and grandpa Pitt who didn't want to take the others!

Oh there's no doubt that kids her age do tired quickly. My point, however, is that she is at an age where she is a sponge and takes in everything around her- and looks to her older siblings A LOT. At least that's what my experience with children her age has been (and yes, I have one on the way). That's why I bring up the examples of other Hollywood kids her age. Shiloh is dramatically different from them.

I'm just saying there's more to Shiloh not being there than her being tired/cranky.
