Owen Wilson in emergency room - dehydration or overdose?

Reading a lot of blogs now saying Owen Wilson was admitted to an emergency room in LA in critical condition for 'dehydration'. But just checked Perez and his sources say Wilson OD'd and is in detox.

perez is also now saying it was a suicide attempt according to star magazine and the national enquirer. says he slashed his left wrist. OMG!

I really want to know whats going on with this. I wonder when there will be official word. From what I was reading from the news outlets, his condition was being listed as either "serious" or "grave". If Perez is wrong, its really shitty to say someone tried to commit suicide and he didn't.

I think he was really serious about Kate Hudson and after years of being kind of a manwhore thought that she could be "The One." To Kate, he was just a fling and someone who would give her the attention and praise that her husband didn't. She dumped him like a sack of shit as soon as Dax came along, and broke his heart. I think Owen is humiliated and devastated... I wouldn't be surprised if, while under the influence of drugs, he did attempt suicide.

Thats weird, my mum is watching you me and dupree in the next room and its so bloody loud cuz she's going deaf in her old age and i can hear owen wilsons annoying voice.

I think he was a heroin addict or something. There was a blind about it. I'm not surprised he uses drugs, but suicide attempt surprises me- he seems like a happy guy- but who knows really! Maybe he saw those grocery store makeout photos of kate and dax.

And Southernbelle, Owen kind of left Kate first, he didn't want to commit and she did. Her moving too fast was 'freaking him out'.

Apparently kate was the one really upset about Owen, he was visting strip bars a few days after the breakup. I think he's just a manwhore who doesn't know a good thing when he has it.

This thread completely surprised me. I wouldn't have expected suicide or drugs from him. I just never saw that in him. I hope he's okay.

OWEN WILSON ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
Actor Owen Wilson was hospitalized after attempting suicide, sources tell the NATIONAL ENQUIRER and Star magazine exclusively.

Wilson was transported to St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica , Calif. on Sunday, August 26, by ambulance. Sources tell the ENQUIRER and Star that he sliced his left wrists and took an indeterminate amount of pills.

He was discovered by a family member who summoned help.

Police and an ambulance responded to a 911 call from Owen’s house around noon on Sunday.

His wrist was sutured and bandaged at the hospital.

The ENQUIRER and Star broke the story of Owen’s hospitalization earlier Sunday and revealed that he was being transferred from St. John’s after being stabilized. The publications learned that he was going to be detoxed.

Owen was brought in to St. John’s in very serious condition. Police were on the scene immediately as was a criminal defense attorney, believed to be working for Wilson. Some of Owen’s family was with him.

Wilson was stabilized at St. John’s.

^^ Whoa, DVS. Thanks for posting that. The NE and Star are notorious but they've also been right on some things (OJ, Nichole Richie) so I'm going to wait before calling bullshit.

Yeah, odd indeed. I always wondered if his role in Wedding Crashers was almost autobiographical... chasing skirts then fell hard for a girl who ended up finding out the truth about him. Then there's the whole '10 Reasons to Not Kill Yourself' scene with Vince. Yikes.

Owen has a string of serial monogamous relationships with nothing 'real' to come of any of them. I wonder if the women knew something about Owen that we're just finding out now. I always go back to his relationship with Sheryl Crow as kind of the beginning of the end.
