Weird fact... Mr. Tulip named after Sean, and today is Mr. Tulip's birthday.

What a thing to wake up to...still can't believe it. I know he made simple comments about women though. But he was the best Bond. No one else came close.

Can you imagine if he and Liza made a movie together?". They'd have drowned each other.

He was really an asshole about so many things, and especially about women. Truly, asshole doesn't even come close to covering his misogynistic bullshit.

I met him once, about 20 years ago.

I made a fool of myself... I mean, it still makes me cringe level of foolishness.*

So I guess he was around 70 at the time. I've met a lot, truly a lot, of celebrities. I've only met a few, though, that made my knees weak and my heart beat so fast I could hear it pound. He was one of those few. My heart was drumming, my ears seemed to narrow like the sound of a seashell, my face flushed red and hot, and I practically stuttered. There was no hope of anything resembling conversation.

Gorgeous, yes... almost divinely handsome. Beyond that, though, he was man. Unreservedly, unapologetic-ally, man. Then he spoke, and my God, I was stunned I could remain upright. That voice. That accent. Twenty years later, writing this, my heartbeat is thrumping, just remembering.

    RIP.

*No. I will not share my humiliation and shame. It's possibly on another thread, shared when I wasn't feeling so ridiculous. Babbling stupidity. (shudders again)

    R.I.P. Mishter Connery.

I just realized that Connery was replaced as Bond by Roger Moore who was 3 years older than him! Of course George Lazenby was in between them, but only for 1 movie.

He started off as a model, didn't he? Eh, he was physically abusive to his wives and maybe others IIRC.
